Cancun and Christmas Prep

pink.jpg

I was getting ready to post pics from our recent trip to Cancun when I realized that we were very bad photographers in Cancun. Shame, shame. Nonetheless, I wanted to post a few pictures of Danielle with her Mexico hair braids. They were adorable. They lasted about 2 weeks and then got too loose so we had to talk them out. No, Daddy Ken did not put them in and NO, Daddy Ken will not learn how.....not in the very near future, at least:) There were not than many pics to choose from so I combined the Cancun pics with some early December Christmas prep. We took Danielle to a local nursery to look for a tree and then to Aunt Lynette's and Uncle Dave's house to feed the animals and fetch the chicken eggs. As usual, she had a blast and didn't want to leave. Lucky for her, our first of several Xmas parties is at Dave and Lynette's....and I think we're spending the night! Enjoy the photos.

Yay! wow these are amazing I see what you mean about her hair BUT Ken it's beautiful! It would be a sin to cut this hair. Didn't she complain that the braids hurt? I had it done a few years back and it was sore!! Anyway these are so adorable!

Hi. My niece Lins has been in contact with you and showed us your site. I just want to tell you that although we have never met you are an absolute inspiration to people who have seen this and it's is evident how much you love that precious little girl. Lins is my middle daughters godmother and I can assure you that a more decent responsible kid you wont find. For a girl of 24 she is the kindest most genuine person you will find. You and your partner are doing a great job. I have 3 kids and I know its a challenge. Buy you are doing fantastic. Sorry I would use my official email address but having trouble with it. Thank you for sharing your beautiful daughter and family with us.You are truly an inspiration to us all. Even my mom was moved to tears by what she saw. If you are ever in Australia our door is open to you. My 3 are 13 10 and 6.Congratu;ations guys you are doing a fabulous job. I am sittig with my niece now. She spent the day in tears over her car. But like we told her she can either stand up for what she believes and support kegan her adopted sister OR she can be like the rest of humanity and leave it. The door got fixed and a new gay pride sticker is on the bumper. But well done guys! you have touched our hearts. and you will not find a more loyal and caring and decent girl/ frined like my niece1! mature and a very loving girl! WELL DONE!

Lins, the song is My Big Bed by Brad Rymer. I needed a song with a 'bed' theme and found it on itunes. It's more geared toward a boys bed but it worked well.

carol, thanks again. Danielle is totally into ballerinas and princesses. She's all girl :)

OMG I have just read what my aunt said! I am so blushing now! You know family has this way of making you feel like such a fool. I asked about that song because its really cute! Daddy ken do not laugh I have just had my face and hair done by a 10 year old! TIP: NEVER LET KIDS DO YOUR MAKEUP! I told my aunt Danielle was a girly girl. Does the little princess still do ballet?

Great. Went shopping with the girls today.Lins is so excited about this package for Danielle. It's too funny to see a group of young girls shopping for a little girl! I hope you and your partner are prepared to do hair and make up! I will have a look for princess/ ballerina goodies!

Hi. I can't wait anymore! I have to send this box. Are you going to be away at all between now and new year. The post office says it will take between 3 and 10 days to deliver the package and if I am sending to your work address then going to have to make sure delivery dates coincide with you being there. I think because I have insured it you will have to sign for it. I am not sure. Please let me know. Hope you had a great christmas.

Hi guys. Hope you all had a peaceful and fantastic Christmas. Well I must say my youngest sister ( Also from Australia) and her family came out as well and Danielle was bragged about by an eager group of girls. She too was taken back by you guys and commented on what a beautiful child Danielle is. She says she is going to be incredibly beautiful when she grows up. We are just wondering is she Mexican or Greek because she has the most gorgeous colouring.
Posted by: Carol Kemp at December 27, 2007 05:45 AM
Danielle is 100% Mexican :)

Hi Ken. Please be wary of these best bloggers things. My neighbours have been caught with this. Lins parents are photographers and they too have had their pics stolen off the net. It would be terrible if some sick person stole photos of Danielle.

Hey guys. looks like the 2 packages will take the full 10days :( guess thats the joys of the postal service this time of the year. Please take photos of Danielle opening. I tell you shopping for her was so much fun. Yes I am sad and pathetic when it comes to kids shopping..... You will see that there are a few extra goods that weren't on the inventory ( that was me at the mall walking past something and deciding she neeeeeeded it! Or my mom who said she needed something african, hence the inclision of the zebra pront gift bag!) But my aunt says she will send soon too. Yay! But anyway let me know as soon as it gets there! Hugs to danielle and love to u all
